Zones are locations in the game to progress your character. For the full zone list, visit here. Each Zone is marked as one of the follow: Exp, Gold, Gem, Shadow, Mastery, None. These tags indicate what that zone specializes in.
Overview[]
Each race starts in a different starting zone: Ankhgora, Asbarun, Darkmoor, Jagan, Nar Hob, New Haven, Palaor, Silverdale, and Torogaar.
One of the main hubs in the Wilderness, which will be the example of explaining the zone basics.
Each zone has a zone map, listed above. Wilderness is the biggest zone in the game , which is displayed in a grid.
Each icon on the map represents another place to interact with, be it an interaction with a NPC or a portal to another zone. Hovering over each icon will display the interaction that is located at that spot. You can view the full information about all portals and interactions in the section below.

Evasion/Resistances and Monster List[]
Evasion/Resistances are currently unused in Shimlar, but they server a way to customize zones where certain classes hit more or less.
The monster list is all the listed monsters available to fight inside a zone, growing in strength the farther you go down the list. Hovering over the icons under each Monster name will display their power level, starting at the Base EQ in the Zone Information section.
Each monster displays their stats, experience given per kill, and gold given per kill.
At the very bottom, you have two tools to help navigate what you can kill more efficiently:
- Monster Details: Displays a more detailed table of all the monsters in that zone. Wilderness Example
- Find Similar Monsters: Displays a more detailed table of all the monsters that are similar in power to the zone you're in. Wilderness Example
Portals and Interactions[]
The Portals & Interactions intertwines with the first section displaying the Zone Map. This lists all the possible spots located in the zone that are interactions or portals to other zones, with their x,y locations listed. Clicking any green header will take you to that zones info as well
- The left side is for all zones found inside the current zone
- The right side is all the interactions, such as Conquests or shops to visit.
