Overview[]
Throughout killing monsters in any zone, you have a chance to drop a resource, which is separate from the tradition drop pool of gem, shadow, purse, clan mine, and also conquest items.
The drop rate is by default 1/100 but that and what resource drops depends on what Zone you're in. It does not share a drop pool with anything else - meaning you can drop a normal item and/or conquest as well as a resource.
There are 9 resources in the game that you can drop from monsters:
- Lumber - Core resource to Estate. Also used in some Conquests.
- Clay - Core resource to Estate. Also used in some Conquests.
- Stone - Core resource to Estate. Also used in some Conquests.
- Sand - Core resource to Estate. Also used in some Conquests.
- Iron - Core resource to Estate. Also used in some Conquests.
- Marble - It's only purpose is Enchanting your Accessories, so very useful mid-late game.
- Silver - Used in some Conquests, but that's about it.
- Gold - Used in some Conquests, but that's about it.
- Fusion Pieces(FP) - Used in some Conquests, but is required to upgrade Mythic and Ancestral gear to the next level.
There are other ways to obtain resources than just killing monsters:
- Fleet Admiral conquest lets you pick a resource as a reward that increases the more you progress.
- Quests provide a random resource upon each completion - usually ~500-1000.
- Fusion Pieces can also be obtained by smashing Shadow Gear.
- Resource Plot Locations, located in Scorched Dunes. You can also upgrade them to be more productive through the Estate Excavation Site building.
While Zone information is displayed in Battle Info, the easiest way to find what zone drops what is through the in-game command /zoneres. It will display a list of all zones and what drops what resource in each zone. You can customize it further, through the explanation at the top of the command.
Due to zones being modified often, I do not plan to display the /zoneres table here, but it is a very nifty tool to quickly find where to go to hunt for a specific resource for your Estate or other activity.
