Overview[]

Quests are an activity you can do in the game that can reward you with experience, gold, gems, shadows, and/or accessories. The main hub for signing up for a quest is located at 1,1 in QuestMaster Hut, requiring level 25 to enter.

New quests are generated every hour, and quests only stick around for 2h total. Every hour on the dot, a blue quest message will appear "Shimlar: New challenges have been added to the Quest Board. Visit t he Quest Master to sign up!". This indicates the quests have rotated - 0h quests are removed, 1h quests are changed to 0h, and new quests are added with a 1h timer.

How Quests Work[]

You sign up for a quest, and then go kill special monsters in the given zone until you complete it. There are 25 possibilities as not all special monsters are part of the quest pool. Upon completion, a message will appear as such in general chat and race/clan chat. "[Your Name] defeated [monster name] [special monster type] in [Zone Name] [Bounty %] [Extra message if you received a gem/shadow/accessory as reward]".

Example: Alpr defeated Frightened Grave Robber Wizard in Pyramid Level 5 (+8%) and obtained a Ring of Knowledge!

Quest Board[]

On the quest board, a table will list the monster you need to target along with the zone it is located in, the reward (usually exp and gold, but can also contain a gem, shadow, or accessory), the status of the quest, time remaining, min level to sign up, max level to sign up, and a signup button. Only one person can complete a quest. If you are working on the same quest and it is completed, you'll receive a message such as "Someone else completed your quest! Sign up for a new one!".

Quests appear for all level ranges, but you can only see what quests are good for your level. You can also sort the quest board by Experience, Gold, or Items.

  • Defeat - Name of monster and zone location.
    • Monster Name
    • Zone Location
  • Reward - Always gives Exp & Gold, but can rarely include a Gem, Shadow, or Accessory as well.
    • Gold: How much gold you will receive
    • Exp: How much exp you will receive with approximate level gains.
  • Status - Current state of the quest.
    • Active: Is available to sign up and complete
    • You Signed Up: Your current active quest (you can only sign up for one at a time)
    • Completed: Someone else completed the quest but hasn't claimed the reward yet.
  • Time Left - Quests run on a 2h timer - meaning old quests are automatically removed if they are not completed every 2 hours.
    • 1h - fresh quest
    • 0h - will be removed
  • Level Limits - Level range you need to be to see this quest
    • Min Level: Must meet this level to see the quest on the quest board
    • Max Level: Must be under this level or else the quest is removed from your view.

Visit any quest board, usually 1,1 in QuestMaster Hut. Find a quest that you like and select sign up! Then you go to the zone and select the monster you need to kill and find special monsters to kill to hopefully complete the quest before someone else does.

Note that you can only sign up for one quest at a time, and you are competing with other players to finish it first. If someone completes your quest, you'll receive an automated private message stating such.

Quest Checklist[]

While questing, on your hotbar you have a tab called "Quests" you can select to view the quest checklist. This displays all possible special monsters you are hunting for while questing. You do not need to interact with the board - as you kill special monsters they will automatically check the box. Once a special monster for a quest has been killed, they also no longer show up when hunting for them. In the top right, it will display the mob and zone you need to be in. Upon quest completion, the board will reset on its own. Lastly, if you change quests you can retain your checklist from the previous quest until you kill your first special monster with the new quest.

Quest Bounty[]

For every special monster killed while on your quest, you gain a percentage buff that will increase the EXP & Gold you receive at the end. Each special is worth +2%, with a +5% bonus every 10 special monsters killed. If the very first special monster killed is the quest, you get a flat +15% buff. 60% is the maximum percentage that can be added to any quest.

Reward[]

Upon killing the correct special monster, you can go collect your reward back at the quest board. The "Sign Up" buttons changes to "Get Reward". Once you collect your reward, all items from that quest are applied to your character. If levels do not show up initially, you can just go fight any monster and it'll show up.

If a quest contains a gem, shadow, or accessory, the gold & EXP are significantly reduced. The power level of these items is determined by the zone it is in for gems & shadows, awhile accessories have a quest range chart that you can find in the accessories page. A shadow can be a shadow, mythic, ancestral, or godly under rare circumstances. Accessories can also, under very rare instances, come with ZIR gems that you can enchant yourself or other gem types already! You never know what you'll get, but you might have to race another player for it!

Quest Timer[]

Upon completing a quest, you are given a quest timer that must expire before you can quest again. The timer depends on your level.

Min Level Max level Quest Timer (Hr)
1 599 3
600 1,499 4
1,500 2,999 6
3,000 4,999 7
5,000 9,999 8
10,000 24,999 10
25,000 99,999 12
100,000 499,999 14
500,000+ N/A 16

If you have a 16h quest timer, this means you have to wait 16h before you can sign up for another quest. Fear not though, as there are ways to reduce it!

Malachite Quest Bribe[]

At the bottom of the quest board, you are able to donate a malachite gem to decrease your quest timer, to a minimum of 2h. You can find malachites randomly while killing monsters or from your clan mine.

Careful though, malachites are level restricted in what you are able to use. If you're too high leveled, the quest master will require higher grades! Malachites are not tradable at all and useless once you cannot bribe the questmaster anymore.

Below is the informational chart for malachites:

Malachite Grade Timer Reduction Level Range
1 1 1-600
2 1 601-1,500
3 2 1,501-3,000
4 3 3,001-5,000
5 4 5,001-10,000
6 5 10,001-60,000
7 6 60,001-350,000
8 7 350,001-1,500,000
9 8 1,500,001+

Quest Day[]

4 times a month, there is a designated quest day for 24h. On quest day, all active quest timers are reset, all quest completions will provide a 2h quest timer, and all quests are given a 20% EXP & Gold increase. Quest day happens on the 7th, 14th, 21st, and 28th of every month.
