The Main login page contains the Shimlar Information, Updates, Login, and Character Creation sections. Here you can view various statistics of Shimlar, view game updates, create a new character, login, and change your login password.
Shimlar Information Window[]
Located in the top left, this section contains links to various information about the game:
- Leaderboard: Tops list for all normal accounts.
- Iron-man Leaderboard: Tops list for all Ironman accounts.
- Discord: Link to the discord channel.
- Facebook Group: Link to the Facebook Group. You can request an invite on the page to view.
- Game Policy: Terms and Conditions to adhere to.
- Shimlarians Online: Displays the total number of players currently playing, and how many total accounts that are created for the round.
- Daily Bonuses: Purchasable boosts in the game that accelerate various aspects of the game. Currently buying boosts are disabled, but are automatically set approximately every 2 weeks, with a cap of 300%. More Information can be found on the Daily Bonus page.
- Jackpot: For every monster killed, a small percentage of its gold is added to the jackpot. Any player above Level 200 can win simply by killing any monster, which then resets back to 0 gold. For more information, see the Jackpot page.
Update Window[]
Located in the top right, all major game updates are posted here for your viewing pleasure. Updates usually stay up per round and then moved to the older history window. Updates are also posted to the Discord #game-updates channel and the in-game command /updates.
Login Window[]
Located in the bottom left, here you can:
- Login: Enter your login name, password, font size of the game text (optional, default 12), and enter The Realm of Shimlar
- Password Recovery: If you've forgotten your password, you can contact an administrator to reset it for you. Currently emails are not used to reset it yourself.
- Change Password: Type a new password in and your character will change to that, given the login name and password are typed in and correct.
Create Window[]
Located in the bottom right, this is where you create the character you want.:
- Login Name: The username you will use to login (it is not your character name!). 3-20 Symbols accepted.
- Character Name: In-game name display. 3-20 symbols accepted.
- Password: Self explanatory. Must be 4-40 symbols. accepted
- Repeat Password: Confirms your password is entered correctly
- Race: There are 11 playable races in the game, listed here to choose from. More information about races can be found at Races page.
- Game Mode: There are 2 game modes available: Normal and Iron-man. The differences are laid out here
- Gender: Can select Male or Female. Other than some title swaps, has no bearing on game play.
